Downing Praised By Fab - Date: 23 Jun 2008

Stewart Downing has impressed the new England boss Fabio Capello the most since becoming England manager.

In a BBC interview Capello admitted that Downing has been one of the positives to come out of the friendly games.

Capello said "I know, really, the movement, he plays like the team, good quality and with a lot of confidence."

"It's very strange, it's not easy to play the first or second game like him."

Downing was the only name mentioned in the interview!

In other news, reported Boro target Zoltan Gera has moved to Fulham.
