Gary Hooper
Hi Boro,
Jimbo Iron here and as you can guess i'm an Iron. Thought i'd give you an update on Hoops. His preference is Leeds, but the two clubs are still working on a fee etc. If they don't come to an agreement (which is very possible) he will be on the way to you guys. I hope you get him! Good Luck |

RE: Gary Hooper
Well Iron if his preference is truly Leeds I suggest he fuking makes sure he finishers off there.
We don't need no one believing Boro are second best. Especially when its frigging Leeds who are the scum of Yorkshire. I suppose between them and the Geordies and their visions of self grandure we will have our work cut out this season and players like Hooper only make the blood boil. Thats providing its true what you say. I'm a Boro armchair fan. ![]() ![]() Alpha1 COPD Global Forum |

RE: Gary Hooper
No disrespect to you - but I can understand him going there. I still would prefer if he went to you

RE: Gary Hooper
This is of no surprise at all as many were beginning to wonder why it was taking so long but we have to be reminded that until MFC officially say then was he really on our radar.
Leeds have money to spend now and the allure of becoming cult status and playing in front of packed houses each home game will sway the undecided and if true it is his preference then its no go dead cert to me. This situation will happen a few times ahead with our supposed targets so I resign myself to watching and waiting for official announcements |

RE: Gary Hooper
I see where you are coming from Iron but it does get my goat up when I read about players picking and smaller clubs to Boro.
Just because Leeds have an history going back nearly 20 yrs now cos lets face it they haven't done owt. Much like the geordies for god knows how long. But players still see them as better clubs that us. Yes we had a small cash flow problem over the past decade but hopefully that all has been addressed and we are much stronger now has a unit and more prepared for the push into the PL . Leeds will struggle this season to find their ground in this division and may drop once again into the lower league. Thats the way I see things. In the meantime may I take this opportunity of wishing Sunny Scunny a cracking next season. I'm a Boro armchair fan. ![]() ![]() Alpha1 COPD Global Forum |

As I implied, it is in no way a done deal - Leeds are quite reluctant to pay what we want. I have to disagree with you my friend, I think Leeds will be in and around the play offs next season! |

RE: Gary Hooper
Leeds and Newcastle get staggering gates, if as a player you have no allegiances it makes sense to me you want to be playing where there is more of that buzz.
We have really good training facillities, but until the team start doing well and the riverside get's it's buzz on then I think we have our work cut out if any teams with a perceived buzz-on be it from attendances or league status come in for a player we are tapping. I expect we will hear 100 more stories like this before next season kicks off. I may be green, but at least I'm not a lemon. |

I'm sorry me old Iron, but I have to agree wi me mucker Sarge here.Of the 3 that came up,I think only Norwich might cause a surprise.I think all 3 will consolidate. The CCC is much tougher than the 1st.So Leeds won't pick up easy points like they did last season.
I also think yer neighbours Hull may struggle with you next season.I hope you stay up. |

RE: Gary Hooper
I agree HH,but you would think by now the powers to be would realise it only takes a drop of say a third of the price of season tickets and we may once again see The Riverside with an average of 27000/30000.
Its has to make you wonder just what goes through Lamb/Gibbo's pea sized brains.
