was just looking at the number of players that have been produced from there youth academies that are currently playing in the top 4 divisions of english football.
1.manchester utd(63) 2.arsenal(52) 3.spurs(50) 4.man city(46) 5.MIDDLESBROUGH(43) other teams LIVERPOOL(38),NEWCASTLE(35),CHELSEA(37). so that makes us 5th in the top 4 divisions, lets hope it continues in the future.all the standings can be found in this months sky sports magazine(page 35)

Have to be honest I wouldn't have put Man City ahead of us - I am suprised with that one. Definately something to be proud of though.

RE: SOMETHING TO BE PROUD OF.
be interesting to see the breakdown of what divisions they are playing in.
Very pleasing statistic, let's hope we continue to produce, and keep the standard up. I may be green, but at least I'm not a lemon. |

RE: SOMETHING TO BE PROUD OF.
Completely agree HH though it would be nice to see players of PL calibre coming through especially in the strikers department. At this time I can only think of four ex acadamy players in the PL at the moment, Downing, Jinky, Parnaby and Turnbull unless I have forgotton anyone? Is Davies still at Stoke?
