Lita - Question for Vector
I have heard rumours that we wanted to talk to Lita, but he looks likely to go to Leeds.

How close is that move? Do we (scunny) have a chance?

RE: Lita - Question for Vector
Hi Jimbo, Ive not heard the rumours about the Irons interested in Lita, the link to Leeds has been well documented but with Hooper going to Celtic and Leroy appearing to be knuckling down I dont think he is going any where unless we get a nice offer.I know Scunthorpe are a well run club but do you think he is within your pay structure? He is on £15k+ a week at Boro.

RE: Lita - Question for Vector
i'd be disappointed to see lita go tbh
i think hes looked hungry during pre season
and i also feel with the addition of Boyd et al
he'll want to prove himself i can see him being
a big influence on the bench aslong as he keeps up the attitude that he
is showing so far

It depends, Wharts is probably going to let Nige use some of the 2.4 mil on wages... Word is our enquiry was shut down quite early as he is talking to Leeds, if that falls through we may come back with another offer.

RE: Lita - Question for Vector
Personally I do hope the guy moves on.
I can only comment on what I saw last year.
Lita is a powder puff fairy who hates contact, his shooting is atrocious and he panics in the box.
Yes he may have had a flukey time at Reading but I think we all saw his commitment to the cause last season.
Lets not runaway with this idea that if a player shows he's got form in pre season that he will be good the coming season.
Pre season is all about getting fit and sharpening your skills.
Its also a no contact sport which Lita loves.
Yes he may start the season off well and he may score one or two.

Buts thats until the first hard tackle goes in then off he will go again running for the cover of the bench and a half decent wage for doing sod all.

Get rid before his attitude effects others once again.

I'm a Boro armchair fan.

RE: Lita - Question for Vector
Have to disagree Sarge I think Lita will be needed to maintain momentum during this campaign and if Strachan gets him to knuckle down and put himself out a bit more then he will be a good foil when needed.

And he is doing ok in pre season we need strikers to shine this season and I think he will when given the opportunity.

Has Mido officialy gone yet VB? seen no announcement from Boro

RE: Lita - Question for Vector
I think the chances of Boyd and McDonald staying injury free are fairly slim, so given we missed out on Hooper I think we definitely need to keep Lita. We have nobody else good enough to step in.

RE: Lita - Question for Vector
To be fair I know McDonald signed with an injury but him and Boyd were always pretty much injury free up in Scotland there was an occasional injury but both were pretty much always fit, what I've seen of lita he isn't good enough I know he's scored a couple of goals in preseason one pretty much hit off him the other Lee miller also scored in and we aren't all changing our minds on him

RE: Lita - Question for Vector
Lita is a great player to have to throw in later in a game. He posses one thing that neither boyd and McDonald have and thats pace. Put him in when the other team is little tired and he can create havoc if he gets the righ balls on the deep. Good way to change a game plan. If we sell him we hae 3 simular forwards who all 3 lack pace, not the greatest situation I think.

RE: Lita - Question for Vector
we only have 4 forwards so in the same way we cant really buy any more midfield till we sell we cant really sell a forward till we buy..
