Luke is a 1st year Scholar at the club and one of two goal keepers in the same year (along with Shane Bland)

As an U16 last season he made the bench for the U18 FA youth cup tie and the bench for the reserves.

Called up to the England U16 squad as back up and broke through into the England U17 squad this season debuting vs. Holland. Part of the victorious U17 squad that recently won the Algarve cup.

Was allowed to go out on a short term loan to Manchester united in December 201,1 to play in the future champions competition in Brazil. (United only had 1 fit goal keeper and needed 2 for the travelling squad)

Luke comes from a Middlesbrough background, his father Matthew was a goal keeper for the clubs reserve side. And Grandfather John was once a first team coach at the club. Luke himself has been at the club since he was 9 years old.

Personal thoughts

Talented right footed goal keeper who isn’t helped at club level because there are 3 goal keepers going for 1 spot at U18 level, and 4 goal keepers for 1 spot at reserve level.

Seems like the keepers are rotated week by week which isnt great for confidence or form.
