Boro's Championship Rivals
I'll be doing some small blog posts to keep me busy until the Football starts again, on teams I expect to be fighting Boro for promotion in the coming season. An overview of transfers in and out during pre-season, potential targets, current danger men and my thoughts on how they're likely to fair etc.
First up is Blackburn Rovers seeing as they've been most active in the transfer market so far. Have a read if you get a minute ![]() http://www.myonlyboro.co.uk/2012/07/boro...overs.html Could also use this thread to discuss our rivals if there isn't one already open. |

RE: Boro's Championship Rivals
I'll give that a read a bit later and let you know my thoughts.
Just wanted to say that it's VERY difficult to predict who will do well and who won't in this division. You could have a team get promoted who played in League 1 like the previous 2 years. Sometimes teams coming down from the prem do well, other times they struggle to adjust. You also have teams that perform well the previous season and you expect to do so again, and struggle the next year (nottingham forest spring to mind). I think you'll have to do a blog post on about 16 of the teams to be honest! |

A lot of 'big' clubs that have top flight history are now gathering in the Championship. It'll be interesting doing a profile on the likes of Sheffield Wednesday who many won't know much about these days

RE: Boro's Championship Rivals
I fancy Burnley to be my potential dark horse. They cash to spend after selling Jay Rodriguez and have already have a guy to step up and replace him in Danny Ings - a player who could well light up the league next season.
Also, I like the look of Brighton. Hello little man.... I WILL DESTROY YOU! |

RE: Boro's Championship Rivals
don't think wolves will be any where near the auto spots...think between now and end of august there will be a fair few departures
far too early though to try and determine who will be genuine challengers...maybe in a months time it will become a little clearer Boro til' I die |
