Coming season Match Day threads.

I would hope that most would agree we had a great variety of M/D threads last season and with a good number of participants and also some record breaking posts to boot.

I guess we could and I emphasis could have an exciting season to look forward to so although fairly early perhaps to some I want to collate a list of names of those members who would like to participate this coming season by doing their own threads.

I think the concensus of opinion was it was fair that only by Boro winning the match would mean that the originator carried on with the next and for me it is interesting to see who our lucky contributors are.

I do not want to invite any negative comments regarding this thread so please can only those members who which to declare their interest in starting a M/D thread put their names down or if you have positive things to say or suggestions please feel free to post.

We all have our own way of doing things but I do think that we as a forum have some great match day threads regardless of the format and speaking of formats can we please keep to the norm in regards to the actual title for example:

Boro V Opposition
Boro V Opposition (A)
Boro V Opposition (Cup)
Boro V Opposition (Cup) (A)

The order will be on a first come first served basis and you will remain the originator whilst Boro win! any other result and the next member will start and I will always remind the next starter by pm that they are next up.

Due to the frequency of matches it is sometimes difficult to not have two M/D threads going at once but if that is the case then I certainly do not have any problems with the next thread being posted but will lock it until the prior game is over only if it is beyond any reasonable doubt that the originator should be starting that particular game.

I hope that we have some new contributors and that some of the excellent threads originated by previous members will continue next season. I for my part will be stepping back from doing this unless there are not enough volunteers so as of yet I will not be adding my name.

So over to the members of the forum please state your interest lets get an order going because I for one have missed the M/D threads and can't wait for them to get started again.

One last thing you can put your name down at any time but I will keep the order available for all to see.

DS, if other members don't mind, would it be ok if I skip the queue a little? I'm moving to Australia in September and would like to get a match thread or two in before I go as I don't think I'll have enough free time to put the effort in that I usually do later in the season!
