Premier Betting Scandal
Surprised that no one has commented on the contrevercial story relating to betting fix's in The Sun newspaper yesterday and today.

I must admit reading the story makes you wonder if there is any smoke without fire and what the possible future implications that will surely follow.

What precautions will The PL and clubs take now or will the story be simply dismissed and if there are truths what should happen?

Ok no results will ever change but is this story about to heap shame on certain professional sportsmen who should know better?

Worth discussing I think!

RE: Premier Betting Scandal
If there's a betting fix involving clubs and players the repercussions are simple, what happened in Italy will happen here.

Players and clubs will be fined, players will be suspended, clubs will be docked points/relegated.

Or atleast that is what should happen, not read anything on it so don't know what's actually gone on.

RE: Premier Betting Scandal
When I was at 6th form (many years ago) we went to play Hartlepool 6th Form College, we got there but the match was put back a couple of hours, just sitting around bored we decided to have a sweep on how many goals would be scored in the match, our goalie bet on 10, we lost 8-2 and there last 2goals our goalie just watched them just roll over the line, a lesson learn't, Footballers should be allowed to bet on matched that they are playing in-period

RE: Premier Betting Scandal
Scrap pre season and hold a one off knock out tournament of championship clubs for any places in the premier league that are up for grabs. Just a thought....
