Npower Champo: players to watch

Thread sums it up, living in Sheffield, last year Ched Evans and Gary Madine (Wednesday) were the respective poster boys for the two Sheffield teams

So, my player to watch this year outside of our boys is Gary Madine. He seems quite a well rounded striker, good finisher and even has his own dodgy trademark celebration.

I think he will be key for Wednesday, if he plays well, they will do well!

Who else should we watch out for?

I think Jordan Rhodes has to be the obvious one coming up.

Wolves and Bolton both possess numerous players who should annihilate this league on paper. Lee, Doyle, Fletcher, Holden, Jarvis, O'Hara...

Wolves' new signing Sigurdarson is supposed to be promising as well.

Other than that I think it's mainly the usual suspects until Leicester or Cardiff or Notts Forest or someone starts splashing cash.

I forgot about Rhodes, for some reason I thought he had signed for Reading?! (maybe that was on FM!)

I think Wolves will be an Interesting one, their team look far too good for the Championship

They also looked far too good to go down and they still did so you never know.

I'd expect some of those players to be sold to a PL side before the end of the window anyway.

I reckon David Norris at Leeds, always rated him in midfield, had an okay season last year despite the troubles at Pompey

Not sure if its the right thread for it, but its a champo played definately NOT to watch! Leon Best has done his cruciates today, will be out for the season in all likelyhood.

3 million Blackburn are a joke they should of spent that kind of money in January whilst still in the premiership would of attracted a much better calibre of player who a. Could of saved them and b. Isn't a gimp like best

3 million would get you very little in january...in all liklihood it would have been close to double that in january as the selling club knows you are against the clock and can hold you to ransom
