Greetings From Bristol
Afternoon all....

Just wanted to ask you what your views were on Paul Smith who you had on loan from Forest.

We (Bristol Rovers) are set to sign him, will he be ok for league 2???

Also hows Muzzy doing??

Cheers

RE: Greetings From Bristol
Smith will probably be the best goalie in that league. He put in a good shift for us, did well on a short term basis.

Muzzy had a very impressive 45 mins against Bury in the cup at the weekend but had to go off with a tight hamstring at half time. Signs look promising though!

The forest fans said he doesn't command his box enough, and is not too hot at coming for crosses, did you notice any weaknesses in his game??

I thought Paul Smith was a really good goalkeeper in what I saw of him.

I think he will go from strength to strength if he gets a good run in the side.

I think forest fans will have a better idea. We had a great defence infront of him so he had little to do but when he did it he was solid. Looked a bit slow to me and not the agile but he could be a great league 2 signing.

RE: Greetings From Bristol
Paul Smith is a good shot stopper

His command of the area is not the best and his positioning suspect but he is brave.

Do not expect to have many nil opposition scorelines

It is my opinion and it is not shared by many of the Boro faithful. We had two loan keepers close together Smth who did not impress me and Ikeme who did.

Good luck for the season

I think he'd be comfortable in league 1, so yeah he should be solid in league 2. Excited to see Muzzy play more, certainly gives us something different. Good luck for the season.

IT'S EINDHOVEN!!!!!

RE: Greetings From Bristol
He did well for us and I would have been very happy if he had been brought back to Boro this transfer window as our back-up keeper to Steele. As far as a first choice in League 1 goes, it's a good signing.

As for Muzzy, good start!
