Generally Impressed

Not to spoil the jist of other threads I just wanted to say that I have been very impressed with the recent business conducted by Boro and whilst it seems that the business is not yet concluded (referring to Mogga stating he wants another striker in) I as a fan and follower of our beloved team am really looking forward to the forthcoming season.

I did not expect this much activity and to be honest the business concluded so far as surpassed what I expected and I honestly think we have a lot to look forward to.

Well done Mogga and thanks for making things so interesting close season

woody - has the potential to be our best layer this year, the guy is no doubt a Prem quality centre back

Leadbitter- will add that drive we sometimes lacked last season, should be a good signing on a free

carayol - adding more pace and natural width out wide, two things we lacked last season

friend - probably most impressed with this signing at 250k(ish) it has the potential to be the deal of the summer, decent turn of pace and comfortable with the ball

leutwiler - not much to be said, will be back up to steele

burgess - good youth prospect

hoyte - this one will split opinion, myself i'm delighted to see him back on a wage he deserves

parnaby- could go either way, having not played competititive football for a year could be rusty but this guy has played consistanly at the highest level in the past.

ledesma - has looked good pre season, full of confidence and will try anything, could be a big player

overall i don't think theres a signing i'm not looking forward to seeing play, can only be a good thing.

I think you forgot Ledesma. He is one that I'm very much looking forward to though. Agree with your assessment of the other players.

Can I just say that whilst I'm thinking the signing are great.... I did say that we would be looking at around 10 people incomming this window ( as stated in some post somewhere)

anyway, beyond me saying "I told you so"

I'm REALLY FREAKING EXCITED about this year. I just hope we're signing Santa Cruz to round off our attack nicely

After reading this fourm for ages i have finally joined !

This season is the first year in a long time where i am not worried about any player not performing or letting us down. Every single player in the squad now can give something different to another in s, what i see as only, positive way! Looking forward to seeing the partnership of Thompson and Leadbitter in the middle as i see Bailey going if a offer is made for him (unfortunatley)

Mogga finally has his team like he had at WBA and look what he did with them with his team.

To be honest , reading between the lines at the end of last season i didnt see this much transfer activity coming and overall im well happy especially looking forward to seeing ledesma and carayol
woodgate ... hopefully a master stroke felt last year we were a bit naive in central defence so pray he keeps fit
burgess probably wont figure in the first team but he didnt cost owt
leadbitter is a realy good aquisition above average midfielder at this level and (touches wood) doesnt miss many games thru injury
havent seen friend yet but hearing very positive reports
hoyte maybe now mc mahons gone might get a bit less flak (would of deffo preffered mc mahon but whether it was wages or upsettin mogga hes away so hey ho)
finally parnaby bit dissapointed with this one never really took to him in his first spell and just cant see that he will pull up any trees but suppose hes an alternative to hoyte

p.s please sign a goalkeeper mogga hopefully as first choice
