When was the last time Boro scored 3 goals and they were of that quality I wonder. Perhaps would have to go back to the Man City 8-1 game for strikes like that in the same game (Downing, Rochemback fk etc..)

Probably would be the last time right enough. We got 1 at a rate of about every 3 months thereafter, never thought we'd get two like that in one game! But we now have a lot of players who are capable of a long range strike - Ledesma, Leadbitter, Reach, Williams, Park and Emnes have all done so recently or throughout their career. Whereas last year we only had Emnes and Robson.

Last year we also had Maluary Martin, neverbefore. Little bit unfair not to include him, he scored at least two screamers last season, but I agree with your point.

Ah yes, I meant as regular starters though. Martin was never gonna be one of those. Ya have to be able to pass the ball 5 yards to be a regular starter in the championship
