round 4 results

hi everyone

with the new format in place the days of double figures are well and truly behind us. the late predictors had their predictions honoured due to the format change and me not being around to remind them.

top of the shop was oslo syd this week with an impressive 8 out of 12 acheived. no-one got the boro scorer, and of those who did predict Brunners hit the lowest score of 3.

It's very slow on the forum so I think I'll chuck this little cat among the pigeons...

Now that we have changed scoring format it's suddenly become twice as hard to overhaul the leaders.

For example, this week I correctly predicted 1 more result than table-topper, Foggansflyingpig and I have reduced his lead over me by 1 point. Under the old system I would have reduced the deficit by 2 points, not 1.

Looked at another way, Foggy is 9 points ahead of me so I'll have to make 10 correct predictions more than he does over the season to get ahead of him on points. Under the old system, I would have needed only 5 predictions more.

Also, if a kipper and a half cost a penny and a half, how much do 7 kippers cost?

To be fair, me and DS did change our minds on the poll and voted for the new system (2 for result, 1 for scorer), which would have made it even leaving GGG to decide on which one. I think GGG ignored me when I pointed that out though.

To be fair I'm I right in thinking all we are trying to do here is get in the top half to be in the 1st Division, once the split has taken and we go head-to-head the pre-split scores will no longer count

Aye, that's pretty much it but a lot of us couldn't be bothered/found it time too consuming predicting every scorer and having predictions split over Fri/Sat meaning shorter deadlines.

not ignoring you prowler as it was only to decide the splits i went with the majority. to be fair,(used a lot in this thread) everyhas had the same chance at the same amount of points its just some collected more when results were worth 2 rather than 1
