RE: Formation
I think we should trying and keep the same team and formation as much as possible regardless of it bring home and away. Changing the team every game doesn't bode well for consistency and players won't gel quickly due to the constant changes.
Yes, some players will need resting after a few games and some players will need replacing due to injury and dropping out of form but we really need to crack on now and get a regular first XI down and playing. |

RE: Formation
we need to keep using rotating system considering there are too many matches for 11 players to handle at this level
we can change players but not the formation. if we are a team passing balls and pressing the opposition, I don't see any reason why we need to use counter-attack system suddenly in an odd match or 2 even though we face a strong team like Blackpool |

RE: Formation
I disagree Prowler. We have too many injury prone players (like half our team!) so a rotation policy has to be implemented. Every team has different strengths and weaknesses so you always have to consider what formation would best exploit / handle that. And, whilst like you I want us to set up to win every game, we cannot put out a team that looks to attack every game all guns blazing. Sometimes away from home against the better teams we have to be smart and play a tactical game, ie. try and win it on the break. It worked last season. Yet this season, after some tweaks, it has become our weakness.
I'd definitely like to see a more consistent selection at home though. We should always look to be very offensive at the Riverside, and we can probably do that more effectively with similar personnel / tactics. ''I've had a wonderful time, but this wasn't it.'' |

RE: Formation
You rotate a team too much and you get no consistency at all, yes, we have some injury prone players but only 2 started yesterday and for the next game, both should probably be rested, 3 in a week is too much but we should atleast be able to start the same team twice in a row, especially after a bloody win.

RE: Formation
i just think its clear mogga does not know his best 11 or best system to use. Which is quite frightening really.

RE: Formation
A settled side will do better than one thats rotated too much. Changes should only happen when injuries or loss of form happen, with the odd exception. In other words play your strongest team possible. Injuies haven't helped this cause. Hopefully we can stick in there get a settled side and start perfoming. Remember we have brought in a lot of new players who need time to gel.
Is a believer!

RE: Formation
I think we should go with a slightly different team for away games.
Steele Hoyte. Woody. Bikey. Friend Leadbetter. Thompson. Bailey. Haroun Carayol Juke or emnes. Id go this in away games |

RE: Formation
There's definitely been too much rotation going on, even given the circumstances. So I agree with most of you in that respect. But I don't however disagree with the policy as a whole. If there were a middle ground implemented between what you lot are saying and what Mogga is actually doing then I'd be a happy man.

RE: Formation
I think mogga needs 2 find his best team n stick 2 a system. Other teams such as Blackpool may rotate but everybody's singing from the same hymn sheet. The bigger teams in the division don't worry bout the opposition and neither should we
