Boro v Preston (A) (Cup)
Hi everyone

After a highly unlikely but entertaining win for the boro at Ewood park our next game is a third round tie in the capital cup at deep dale.

News
Boro
previously lined up as 4-1-4-1 (according to skyports) and were convincing for 80 minutes against the championship league leaders Blackburn. a late blackburn goal saw a typical boro last 10 minutes but we managed to hold on.

Preston
previously lined up as 4-5-1. lost away at Walsall after taking the lead, they currently lie 11th in League One

Form
Boro WLWLWW
Preston LWLWDW

Injuries
Woody is likely to be rested after coming off against blackburn
Main is out until new year

who should start/be rested?
formation?
any other topics?

I like that Mogga takes all cup games seriously and fields strong teams, but we've had a lot of matches recently, and with many more to follow in a short space of time (4 total within the next 15 days) we must make changes. The injury prone players certainly should not start, as well as one or two others. In fact, personally I'd make a LOT of changes. Obvious time to implement a rotation policy. We've already seen the effects of over-using one key injury-prone player in a lesser fixture (Rhys vs Gillingham), and this team is more then capable of overhauling Preston anyway with plenty of options available from the bench if need be...

-------------------- Steele --------------------
------ Hoyte --- Hines --- Bikey --- Halliday ------
-------------- Bailey --- McEachran --------------
------ Haroun ----------------------- Park --------
-------------- Williams --- Ledesma -------------

Bench: Leutwiler, Friend, Leadbitter, Zemmama, Carayol, Jutkiewicz, Emnes.

Don't think we'll see Park again for a while.

Why? Have I missed a trick? Injured? Loaned out? Or just your hunch? If available I'd see this as a good match to give him some more experience, especially after his impressive showing in the last round. Outside of these cup fixtures I would agree that his chances will be incredibly limited though.

Im expecting 4 changes for this game.Whilst Mogga takes the cups seriously we have a few players carrying a few niggles and we also have some that deserve a run out.

Its not going to be an easy game.

I believe it was Park and Main who were to be loaned out? Main got injured, not sure on the Park situation.

You could be right. I'm not so sure on this one. There were definitely inroads being made on loan deals for both out (100% the latter), but something has perhaps stalled (certainly on the Main front anyway, obviously). Maybe someone can enlighten us...
