Josh McEachran
Yo! I was wondering if anyone of you could fill me in on how Josh McEachran is doing for you guys? Been trying to find scout reports and what not to see if he has impressed. The only thing I found out is that he has started quite a few games for you. Whats your opinion on him?

RE: Josh McEachran
Good tidy player when playing centrally and has a good footballing brain. He keeps the game simple which as daft as it sounds is one of the hardest things for players to do these days. He's had a very good start to his Boro career from what I've seen and what I've been told.

I've seen him live in quite a few games now and I think he's a class above. Shame he is forced to play out wide. Never gives away possession, creates lots, passes forward and look very tidy.

RE: Josh McEachran
Machecron first came across my radar in an England game when his passlng was a class above.
At Boro he has never quite achieved those heights. To an extent we have tried to protect him by playing him wide at times. I've never noticed him going and hiding but the Champo can be quite rough at times. He has a lovely pair of feet and can pick a pass that destroys the opposition but he has been limited in showing this side of his ability. What is very telling is that he has been good when we have been good but on the days we have not been so good he too has not been so good. Competant but needs to get up to the level of game changer as that is where his real ability is. A future England Pirlo if he can raise his game a bit more fingers crossed for him |

a real talent but i hope he could close down players more quickly and that might be due to his stamina

Really impressed with the lad, haven't seen anyone his age with the same passing skills. He picks passes that you struggle to see from the stands. Ball retention is also great, and has good pace which is useful in our midfield.
But agree with AR, he is wasted out wide. IT'S EINDHOVEN!!!!! |

RE: Josh McEachran
Contrary to world media reports I do not think he will be the next Lampard or England captain. But he is a tidy player with a great brain and vision, he could very well end up playing for the three lions but we will wait and see...
Arsenal wont spend more than 16 million pounds on 1 player this transfer window.

I think his tackling is getting better, from what I can gather anyway. When he first arrivied (if I remember rightly) people were on the forum were saying he didn't offer much defensively. But I noticed against Blackburn and against Leicester that he starting to get back a bit more, helping Hoyte, shielding the ball out at times. He's still not great at that yet but I think it'll come. |
