Powlay iv heard two ov boros youth players have been called up for England u17 to play in the euros do you know anything about that and can you give us any information about it?

Bryn Morris, captained the England U16 squad last season when Chelsea's Ruben Loftus-Cheek wasnt available. Played in defence when Cheek played in midfield and moved into midfi3eld when the chelsea man was missing. Has been captaining the side since basically.

Moved into the U17s this year when he became a 1st year scholar at Middlesbrough, and has been captaining them. Wasnt included in the Nordic games squad as its a more experimental side. That group included two other Boro players, BRadley Fewster and Priestly Griffiths.

Which brings me onto the other player called up, Priestly Griffiths. Or Side Show Bob as he is otherwise known as due to his white mans afro!

Priestly has been playing centre back for the U18s this season with the odd game in midfield. A little undersized for a centre half, decent on the ball. A tidy foorball player really. He has forced his way from the experimental Nordics and his Boro U18 appearances into the full England U17 squad.

Thanks for your reply Powlay hearing a lot about the kid moris these two must be ones for the future ov boro. They be been picked in a squad that has got jerome sinclair in who made his first Liverpool start the young est ever Liverpool player will we be seeing any ov these two soon or any other player breaking through.

any one else showing signs of moving up ? From what I've seen so far the guy who is making an impression is Dolan with more than the odd good display. Jacko is going to come thro relatively soon too. He had a couple of opportunities in the preseason and didn't let himself down

Is Jake Fowler going to unlock the potential that obviously exists and blossom ? I'd love to think so as he always seems to have a slow start to the season and then gets better and better. One can merely hope he does. His near telepathic understanding with Edwards has been one of the delights of this group

but don't write off any of the others as they are at an age where the "penny" can drop almost overnight and the change from a good age group player to a first team challenger occurs. They are all good technicians

persoanally i am incredibally proud of boros youth system it is one of the best in english football and is renowned for unearthing talent so it is heartening to hear about these up and coming youngsters just a pity that only the very very best ever get to make it into the first team two that fell of the radar spring to mind christian hansen and josh walker and to a degree nathan poritt

heres hoping to future stars tho and that we reap the rewards
