Stewart Downing
Now call me optimistic, but Liverpool have a WINGER left out in the cold, a man that arguably is the best out production line has produced in recent times, and generally a big fan favourite.
Surely, it would benefit Liverpool, boro and downing for him to join us on loan. Liverpool get a player playing regular and in a competitive league Boro get a winger who has proved himself to the club Downing gets a chance to resurrect his career. Lets pay £10k a week of his wages and Liverpool pay the rest. It makes sense to me. Middlesbrough F.C - Champions league winners 2013/14 Http://www.play-poker-online.co |

RE: Stewart Downing
When someone first suggested ths I thought it was the most rediculous idea ive heard.......however then we had Carayol and Reach and everything was looking positive with our wingers. Its a huuuuuge longshot but if we pay 20k a week(1/4) of his wages to play practically 2 games a week for the next 12 weeks(240k total) up untill January 1st(around the same time Carayol is back) then it isn't the worst value for money. It will be mutually beneficial for all 3 parties so you cant totally rule it out.

He played 90mins for them tonight (did quite well too) and Rodgers has publicly challenged him to fight for his place. They are short on attackers too. I don't think its a goer tbh. |

RE: Stewart Downing
He played well tonight, beat his man a few times. Great delivery for the goal. I think he did himself a favour tonight

RE: Stewart Downing
He is like a winger version of Fernando Torres. His stats last season were unbelievably bad, I'm not sure if he could be worth 10K a week in the champo. He is damaged goods at the moment. If he improves a bit through the season and when Boro get promoted at the end of the season then we can talk about a deal
Arsenal wont spend more than 16 million pounds on 1 player this transfer window.

RE: Stewart Downing
Would be nice. But won't happen this season. Though I'm with Neverbefore that he will eventually return one day.
