No doubt that Roy will be cautious and pick a team not to be beat and hope we can nick a win.

RE: Poland v England
Poland will lose. They are nowhere near as good as they think they are, they have an even newer manager than England and REALLY suspect defense. England like to do it the hard way but even they wont struggle too much. 3-1

Arsenal wont spend more than 16 million pounds on 1 player this transfer window. Big Grin

agreed. Poland do have a bit a quality upfront and impressed with work ethic at the euros, but I'm confident of a result.

RE: Poland v England
I could see defoe struggling tbh if he started, We need pace to beat a shakey defence here. I'd love oxy and jinky on either wing maybe switching occasionally. I could see Carrol doing well against this type of side tbh, but dont like him.... infact would anyone else love to see lambert up there instead of carrol?

Lambert, as much as i dislike his thuggish style is a good finisher and bullys defenders well and would be a good addition to most squads - however i dont think he has quite enough quality to start for the national side

RE: Poland v England
Crouch doesn't yet international defences just can't deal with him. Think the same would be said for Lambert. A different kind of challenge, obviously. Lambert is all strength where as crouch is all height and flailing legs

RE: Poland v England
Can anyone shed any light on why Hodgson persists with Welbeck when Defoe has been England's most in-form striker this season?

RE: Poland v England
Because Wellbeck plays for man utd?
Because he has scored some goals for England recently?
Because he has a good understanding with Rooney, Carrick and Cleverly who are playing behind him?
Because he is more of a team player than Defoe?

Just a few suggested possible reasons. Truth is only Roy knows!

I would prefer to see Heskey up front than Carroll. Just anyone but him.

I think lambert has proven he is a talent by continuing his form into the Prem. but I am not convinced he is international quality. But then again neither is Andy Carroll.

It doesn't seem like that long ago we had the likes of Robbie Fowler and Andy Cole who couldn't get regular games for England because they were kept out of the team by Shearer, Ferdinand, Owen etc...
Now anyone who is English and plays up front in the premiership comes into consideration because we are so short on talent in that area.

have you seen her? have you heard? the way she plays there are no words...
