M/D Threads..Whats gone wrong?

I am opening myself up and baring my soul to all members of this great forum by asking what has gone wrong with our famed match day threads?

This season there has been a noticeable decrease in the number of posts and we are no where near the 460 plus that we were getting last season.

I have looked back and it is fair to say that since Welshy left the site a number of his regular 606'rs members who transferred to oneboro are no longer participating on the forum which is a great pity!

I honestly think we achieved a fairness about who does the opening thread and that it is good to have regular contributors irrespective of whether or not they like to do polls!

Of course members circumstances change and perhaps they do not have time to contribute to posts but there are always up to 60 plus guests reading the thread who are not logging on and posting there input.

The M/D thread was always the highlight of the week and lets be honest there has been some great banter but it is saddening that Huntsboro who is on a winning spree is only getting a small number of posts.

If things are wrong then please tell me as you are all aware I am very keen on maintaining a popular part of the forum.

However please accept my thanks for the sterling contributions from all of you and I look forward to your input or critisism

I'm not around as much. I contributed about 50% of the missing posts. The other 50% were my fans.

The only reason I mentioned Welshy was because of the after effect Bib and I do not want this thread to be a finger pointing situation

Links aside I think you are still a fantastic contributor NB4 and ok not all of us have Boro+ to listen to but I do try and keep the thread alive with posts just to keep things going

I do wonder whether some members are using twitter during matches especially using the #Borolive hashtag for Anthony Vickers.

The Northern Echo are also doing a match day blog on twitter.

I know I have 2 windows open on match days and it will be the M/D thread on here and twitter in the other.

May be peoples interest for Boro matches is reducing,exactly like the attendance figures at the Riverside are?

It would be interesting to get everybodies thoughts.

cheers! I still read every post on every thread and pay particular attention to M/D threads still, they're the best way to get the true feelings of our fans during the matches. They really helped me out on Saturday when my boro+ wasnt working as I still knew what was going on! Quantity may have decreased, quality hasn't, so it's not an issue for me.

It was always clear if a M/D thread was going to be good if there were over 100 posts before the kick off. I see the latest one has only 2 posts which is so odd especially after a hard fought win...where is the buzz???

Would also add that due to only using a phone, I don't have the same desire to be overly active on here as it's a right pain, will have a laptop again next week though.

yeah, i'll be rolling up, literally, i'm out the night before.

as regard to match day threads, i've stopped posting on them mainly due to me being busy with the family on saturdays now due to me only coming home on weekends.
