Jonathan Woodgate Injury Dilemma
Jonathan Woodgate missing last night's game against Hull has got me thinking...
With Woody unable to play 2 games in 4 days or 3 games in a week would you, if you had to choose one game for him to play in, rather he played against Bolton (crucial league points at stake) on Saturday or against Sunderland (local pride at stake) on Tuesday? I don't know which one I would choose so I'm throwing it out there. Follow me on twitter @JStevo21 and also Stevo's Boro Blog |

RE: Jonathan Woodgate Injury Dilemma
though i consider the league much more important, i think we can cope without woody for the bolton clash.
think we will need our best players out there and on top of our game to come away from the stadium of *** with a victory Boro til' I die |

RE: Jonathan Woodgate Injury Dilemma
League has to be the priority as I feel getting as many points before Xmas is crucial to the rest of the season

RE: Jonathan Woodgate Injury Dilemma
If it has to be one (which I am not convinced it does) then it has to be Bolton. A cup run is nice, but realistically we are unlikely to win the cup. Promotion is definitely realistic though and we need to try and beat potential promotion rivals.
have you seen her? have you heard? the way she plays there are no words... |

RE: Jonathan Woodgate Injury Dilemma
League defiantly, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him in both, hence why he was rested yesterday, Hines and bikey provide more than adequate cover.

RE: Jonathan Woodgate Injury Dilemma
It's gotta be the League, especially the Bolton game IMO, they got beat last Nite & Dougie Freedman will have picked up on their frailties & will work on them for Saturday...Bolton have a good side but had lost their way under Coyle, expecting a very tough & different Bolton for Sat.

Bolton got a last minute equaliser last night BCS. Going to be a tough game, I would definitely start Woodgate in this match and if things are going well bring on Hines, give Woody some rest and if hes fit and raring to get let him at the dutty mackems! |

Sunderland. As a Boro lad, he's going to be right up for it. Also, cup run brings cash.

RE: Jonathan Woodgate Injury Dilemma
I think he was rested against Hull so he could be available for Bolton AND Scumderland. Mogga will see the League as priority but as Prowler says he is a local lad and there is a chance to boost his coffers.

RE: Jonathan Woodgate Injury Dilemma
Also add to that, it's not like Bikey and Hines were both poor last night, why unnecessarily change it
