Boro have accepted an undisclosed fee from Zamalek, rumoured to be around £3 million. The Egyptian said, "Zamalek have officially spoken to Middlesbrough and I have no problem going back to Egypt." "Of course my wages are too heavy bear for Zamalek, but I am ready to give up some money and I think it won't be a problem." Link to post Share on other sites

The Egyptian has initially moved on a season-long loan, but Zamalek have the option to extend the deal for another year if they meet Middlesbrough FC's terms. Zamalek will pay Middlesbrough FC £450,000 (4 million Egyptian pounds) for the initial move, with a further £1 million if the move is extended. Zamalek spokesperson Sabri Serag said, "We paid Middlesbrough 4million (Egyptian pounds) to acquire Mido's services. We can also sign him permanently next summer if we pay £1million to the English side." Mido has played for eight different teams in Europe over the last nine years, having taken in spells with Gent, Ajax, Celta Vigo, M***ille, Roma, Spurs, Boro and Wigan.
