Guest alfwoodfundraiser
It has been publicly revealed by his family that Shrewsbury Town legend Alf Wood is suffering from dementia. Alf also played for Man City, Millwall, Hull City, Middlesbrough, Walsall and Stafford Rangers making 488 professional appearances and scoring 117 goals. As a show of thanks to Alf for the great footballing moments he gave to so many and in recognition of the amazing efforts of those caring for dementia suffers we are trying to raise a minimum of £488 for Dementia UK - a pound for every game he played. We urge fans of all of Alf's former clubs (and anyone else!) to dig deep for a great cause.
