Tuncay's Turkey Through To Knock Out - Date: 26 Jun 2008

Middlesbrough FC star Tuncay Sanli lead Turkey to Euro 08 glory after coming back from 0-2 down to win 3-2.

In one of the greatest come-backs in the history of international football. Turkey got through to the quarter-finals of the European Championships in Geneva.

After 74 minutes, the Turks were 2-0 down to the Czech Republic and going home but after 89 they were 3-2 up and heading for a date with Croatia in Vienna.

Boro striker Tuncay Sanli found himself playing in his usual position, but with 90 minutes gone the Turkey goal keeper, Volkan Demirel, was sent off and having used all three substitutes, Tuncay put on the gloves and deputised in the goal.

A thriller in Geneva saw Turkey go through to the quarters with fellow group members Portugal.
