Villa Move For Tuncay - Date: 30 Jun 2009

Aston Villa have made a move for Middlesbrough FC star Tuncay Sanli.

The Turkish international is set for a move away from The Riverside, after relegation to the Championship.

Liverpool were understood to be interested in the forward, however Aston Villa FC seem the likely club to sign Tuncay.

Martin O'Neill is understood to be in the market for a play maker and the Turkish captain is understood to have impressed the Villa boss.

Tuncay joined Boro from Fenerbahce and has gone on to make 67 appearances, scoring 15 goals.
