Free match day commentary \o/

Possibly...don't get your hopes up just yet.

The new free-to-air service, which will be fully integrated within the new site, will include highlights of games from the first team and the Academy, press conferences, interviews, exclusive training ground access, and more behind the scenes footage than ever before. We are also hoping to provide free matchday commentary subject to regulatory approval.

Still, it'll be interesting to see what the new site looks like.

The new features already sound ancient. Matchday commentary and pictures. When there is already at platform available for clubs to stream games in HD. Yeah!

Yep agreed.

Woo free commentary when teams can now stream their games. Yay.

"Phase Two features a new matchday service that will include audio commentary, a live blog, live photos, added video features, including all the match reaction and the post-match press conferences, and will offer the most comprehensive match coverage available."

Pictures! Jesus christ what age are the living in. Useless. Even the next phase is already outdated.

What's outdated about it? They've gone from a paid-for subscription that provides all they've mentioned to getting rid of that need to pay. That's progress.

The website is also catching up with responsive web design which is absolutely progress too. Rather than 2 different servings for desktop and mobile devices, it's all one site which responds to the size of the window/device rather than deciding which site to show from the type of device it's viewed on. It's easier to navigate around too for both types of device.

I don't really know what people expect of the website? What would you consider to be up to date?

The site is too busy and doesn't flow very well. It's easier to navigate around in terms of the buttons being massive sure but it's definitely not well laid out.

And it's 2017 so streaming is up to date, not maybe match commentary and live pictures oooo.

There is already a solution on the table for live HD streaming through the EFL iFollow. Its available to all football league clubs and requires that a fan just logs on through the Boro website. To claim that pictures and live audio is the best available is just a lie. Who wants to look at pictures in this day and age.
